It serves as an effective tool against stress, anxiety, depression and for distraction from physical discomfort or medical procedures. We’re a fast-moving team in Groningen working with healthcare and research partners, and our solution is already used by 250+ healthcare organizations making us the leading VR partner for mental health in the Netherlands.
About you
You’re an early-career Unity developer eager to learn from experienced teammates. You like turning ideas into smooth, user-friendly interactions, you’re comfortable asking questions, and you love seeing your work help real people relax and feel better.
- You have 0–2 years of experience (internships and personal projects welcome) building in Unity with C#.
- You understand the Unity basics: scenes, prefabs, animations, and version control (Git).
- You’re curious about performance optimization and comfortable profiling and iterating.
- You communicate clearly, enjoy teamwork, and care about users. English required; Dutch is a plus.
- Nice-to-haves: VR / XR experience (XR Interaction Toolkit), interest in health-tech, and UX / UI sensibility.
What you’ll do
- Build and refine interactions and features in Unity (C#) for VR and standalone headsets (e.g., Meta Quest, Pico).
- Collaborate with developers and researchers to translate therapeutic ideas into engaging, soothing experiences.
- Test, debug, and optimize performance so our experiences feel great on-device.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and daily standups in our Scrum workflow.
- Contribute ideas to gameplay, UX, and content improvements that elevate user well-being.
What we offer
- Purposeful work: build VR that measurably reduces stress and supports mental well-being in healthcare.
- A collaborative, supportive culture with mentorship from experienced developers.
- Innovative projects at the intersection of VR, research, and care, shipping to real users.
- Flexible hybrid work (Groningen HQ / remote within the Netherlands).
- We offer a competitive compensation package within our sector, complemented by opportunities for professional and personal growth.
